The Big Lagoon Kiwanis will be hosting a delicious pancake breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8-11 am. It will be held at the Holy Spirit Family Life Center, located on the campus of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church. The address for the church is 10650 Gulf Beach Highway.
To start off the Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival, the Sports Bar of Perdido Key will be hosting a kick-off party for anyone already in town. The National Park Service invites visitors and residents to come explore and enjoy the beautiful beaches, museums, programs, historic forts and recreational opportunities at the National Seashore. In honor of Veterans Day, national seashores across the country will be waving their fees. Johnson Beach, a Gulf Island National Seashore, will be taking part, so grab the family for a day of rememberance and quality time at our beautiful national seashore.
The Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce will be having a free networking breakfast for its members on Nov. 13 at the Andrews Research and Education Institute in Gulf Breeze. It's free for members and $15 for nonmembers.

Local entertainer and artist, Leanne Creswell has created and donated two Art Collages featuring actual Gold Records awarded to Larry Butler. Artworks Studio & Gallery at 13700 Perdido Key Drive is sponsoring a Silent Auction of these pieces to benefit the Larry Butler music scholarship at University of West Florida University. The Pensacola Area Commitment to Excellence (PACE) Awards are given each year by the Greater Pensacola Chamber to honor and recognize outstanding individuals in the community who have made significant contributions to Pensacola's area overall economic progress. Nominations for these prestigious awards are now being accepted. Following the nomination deadline, all nominees will receive an application.
